Youth Cyclocross Clinics are open to any youth rider eager to build confidence, make friends, and experience the excitement of cyclocross. Mission: Our mission is to provide a safe, supportive, and fun environment where kids can develop fundamental bike handling skills, practice bike safety, and enjoy the outdoors with good food and great community. Goals: While we introduce clear, simple skills to help those interested in racing, our primary goal is helping every rider grow their strength, agility, and self-belief on two wheels. Encouragement: We encourage participants to show up ready to learn, support their peers, and simply give their personal best each week. Community and Coaching Volunteer Driven: Driven by dedicated volunteers, Donderdag! fosters community leadership and mentorship. Coaching Framework: Through our core coaching framework—Balance, Agility, Strength, and Exposure (B.A.S.E.)—riders gain lifelong skills that bring both confidence on the trail and success on race day. Mentorship: Teen riders are coached to guide and protect younger participants, while local volunteers help build a welcoming, inclusive cycling culture. Community Focus: Ultimately, Donderdag! exists to remind our community of the grace, connection, and strength found in grassroots coaching, leadership, and serving others.
