Bruce Whaley Ride & Run
About this race
Event Overview The Bruce Whaley Ride is adding a run option this year, organized by Fleet Feet! We will have runners and fun riders / family riders on the path looping Lake Shawnee, while those looking to stretch their legs more will have gravel and paved options to go to Overbrook and back. All events officially start at 9:30am, and we will have lunch and beverages at the shelter at 1pm. Distance Options Main Event: Approximately 6.8 miles around the lake. Untimed Event: Participants can start later if they prefer. Aid Stations: Available at start/finish and halfway around the lake. Remote Aid Closure: The remote aid station will close around 12:30. Longer Bike Options SAG Station: Located just off the Landon Trail at Shadden Road. Mid-Ride Turnaround: Overbrook Casey's for additional top-offs. Gathering Details Remember to join us back at Shelter 6 for some food and brews starting at 1pm - let runners and cyclists come together over our shared goal of mildly inconveniencing drivers! Registration Information Cost: Registration fees are waived this year. Early Registration: Please register early to help us get a head count. Donations: Any donations are welcome to help defray costs. Surplus Donations: If there’s a surplus, KVBC will donate proceeds to the Top City Trails Alliance.
