Road Bike Definition: A road bike can possess drop or straight handlebars: no tri-bars, clip-on bars or Spinaci bars are allowed. Wheel Requirements: No disc wheels: both front & rear wheels must have at least 12 spokes each. Competition Spirit: This new category encourages more participation by creating a more even playing field. Event Details Event Flyer: TBD Start Times: Sunday, April 27 & August 24, 9am start – 1 minute intervals Venue: Deer Run Forest Preserve, 5691 River Rd, Cherry Valley, IL 61016 Course: 20 Kilometer out and back course starting at Deer Run Forest Preserve. Registration Entry Fee: Pre-registration: Adults $30. Juniors 18 & under $15. Second Race: Compete in 2nd race class or for a faster time $10. Directions Location: Cherry Valley is located Southeast of Rockford. Route: From Chicago or Madison take I-90 or I-39 to Hwy 20, east on Hwy 20. Directions: Turn right onto Mill Rd, then left on E State Rd, right onto Walnut St, and left onto Genoa St. Final Steps: Continue on River Rd to Deer Run Forest Preserve.
