Event Location Venue: Seidman Park, Conservation/South entrance Address: 8155 Conservation St NE, Ada, MI 49301 Parking: If lot is full, park on grass near road, on edges of entrances, just south of the south entrance or west of Honey Creek Ave. Clinic Overview Purpose: For those planning to do the Michigan Adventure Race, any other adventure race/orienteering meet or just to learn Topics Covered: Learn about adventure race format, gear and tips Skills Developed: Learn how to orienteer (use a compass with a map), route-selection strategies, map reading techniques Important Materials Access Instructions: Please print or access via your phone these clinic materials . Environment: Open air so dress for the weather. Practice Opportunity: We have installed a permanent orienteering course here with posts with orange tops. Compass Requirement: Bring baseplate compass (plastic base with straight edge: Bill & Paul's in GR has good ones: Meijer may have cheaper, lower quality ones) or sighting compass Equipment Provided: We have a few baseplate compasses if you can't bring one.
