Open Range Gravel Race The Open Range Gravel Race is an ultra-endurance bicycle race through a remote and rugged area of the state. The race takes place on April 24, 2027, starting at 117 W 3rd St, Pratt, KS. Race Details 200k Start Time: 8am with a 10 MPH pace cutoff. Distance: 200k will be between 125 - 132 miles. Alternative Options: Sign up for the 100k+ or the 50ish if unable to maintain a 10 mph average. Other Start Times: 100k+ starts at 8:30am and 50ish starts at 9am. Drop Bag and Rider Extraction Service Provider: Pratt Volunteer Fire Department will handle drop bag and rider extraction service. Sign-up: If you want a drop bag delivered and returned, sign up for their service. Proceeds: Go to support the Pratt Volunteer Fire Department. Important: Checkpoint services available to riders. Checkpoints Locations: Sun City and Medicine Lodge will be the checkpoints. Mile Mark: Sun City is around the 35 mile mark and Medicine Lodge will be around mile 80. Services: Checkpoints will have water and light snacks. Drop Bag Instructions: Bring your nutrition in a clearly marked bag or soft-sided cooler. Refund Policy Transfers: Transfers allowed up to registration close. No Refunds: Race fee refunds are not permitted. Race Insurance: Suggested if you think you might need a refund.
