DATE AND LOCATION Date: The ride is on Saturday, October 10, 2026. Event Ticket: Riders can choose from four distance options (20, 29, 40, and 65 miles). Start and Finish: For the 20-mile, 29-mile, 40-mile, and metric century routes: Lancaster Elementary School, 191 School Road, Kilmarnock, VA 22482. Beginner/Casual Ride: Newer and casual riders can register for a 10-mile loop that starts and ends at historic Shiloh School: Shiloh School, State Rte. 606, Kilmarnock, VA 22482. REGISTRATION FEES Standard Routes: 20-mile, 29-mile, 40-mile, and metric century routes: $75. Beginner/Casual Ride: $50. Day-of Event Surcharge: Registration fee + $15 (if offered). Entry Fees: A portion benefits the Northern Neck Bike Club . WHAT DOES MY REGISTRATION COVER? Covers: Event insurance, rest stop food & drinks, advertising and logistics, and ride T-shirt. T-shirt: Each registrant will receive a T-shirt. Additional Items: Purchase additional T-shirts and club-cut cycling jerseys for $70. Post-Event Items: T-shirts and jerseys purchased after Sept. 15 may be mailed. THE ROUTES Course Options: A 10-mile beginner route, plus 20, 29, 40, and 65 miles. Map Availability: Preliminary maps available here: River Ride 2026 Preliminary Routes . Course Marking: Marked with painted arrows before and after every turn. RideWithGPS: Available for all participants. STOPS/TREATS/RIDE SUPPORT Rest Stops: Well-stocked with essential supplies and volunteer support. SAG Team: Monitoring the routes for safety.
