Welcome to the Maine Woods Rambler! The Bicycle Coalition of Maine (BCM) and Appalachian Mountain Club (AMC) host the Maine Woods Rambler at AMC’s Medawisla Lodge in the heart of Maine’s 100-Mile Wilderness during the weekend of September 25-27, 2026! Event Focus: The weekend will center around the Saturday (9/26) ride, with multiple route length options. Adventure Awaits: Riders will experience a nationally renowned system of logging and sporting camp access roads. Full Weekend Activities: Enjoy bikerafting opportunities, evening fireside chats, dark sky stargazing, and outstanding lodge meals. Food & Water Included: Registration fees cover food and water at multiple aid stations, post-ride meals, etc. Route Options Small – 22 miles: Well maintained gravel roads leading to views of clean lakes and local mountains. (Elevation gain — 1,600ft) Medium – 33 miles: This route circles around Roach Ponds with well-maintained gravel roads and small rugged sections. (Elevation gain — 2,100ft) Large – 47 miles: Combines gravel roads with some rugged areas. Spectacular vistas included! (Elevation gain — 3,700ft) XL – 72 miles: A challenging route for experienced riders, featuring difficult terrain and self-support challenges. (Elevation gain — 6,500 ft) All routes are subject to change due to changing road conditions.
