Event Overview The Landmine Classic is a premier mountain bike race on the South Shore of Boston run by the Friends of Wompatuck State Park, Bikebarn Racing, and SE Mass NEMBA. We offer many different race distances in order to welcome as many people into competitive mountain biking as we can, including 25-mile, 12.4-mile, 5.75-mile, and 3.3-mile single-lap courses, plus we offer a free Little Racers Quarter Mile on a wooded course (i.e. not the parking lot). At Landmine, you get to define what an epic ride is for you. We look forward to seeing you again this year! Important Notes Racing Age: Please note that racing age for this event is as of December 31, 2026. Registration: Registration will close once that cap for the event is reached. Don't delay in registering! There are also price increases on July 1st and August 1st. No E-bikes: No e-bikes. What Makes Landmine Awesome? The Course: Almost entirely on singletrack, this race showcases a great deal of what Wompatuck has to offer. Originally the property of the Wampanoag Tribe, in 1655, Chief Josiah Wompatuck deeded the land to the settlers from England. During the race, you will see various trail situations as well as many historic features of the park from when this land was used as grazing grounds in the 1800s and a military compound from 1941-1962.
