13th Annual 2026 Homestead Cycling Tour

Event Overview Come join us for the 13th annual Homestead Cycling Tour on Saturday, August 29th! Routes Offered: 15, 25, 40, and 72 mile limestone routes on the Chief Standing Bear Trail. Gravel Routes: 36 & 60 mile routes traveling on beautiful gravel and dirt roads. SAG Stops: Located at miles 12, 18, 31, 41, and 51. Tour Type: This is NOT a race, but a great gravel tour with beautiful views! Entry Details With your $40 entry, you will receive plenty of SAG support along the way, and fresh pie at Barneston Trailhead and at the end! Early Registration: Sign up before noon on August 17th for a famous soft, comfy, short sleeve event shirt! Proceeds: Most of the proceeds go back towards the maintenance of our Chief Standing Bear Trail. Packet Pick-Up: Begins on Sat. Aug. 29th at 6:30 am @ Stone Hollow Brewery, 301 Court St. Beatrice. Support Hours: SAG support starts at 8:00 am, NO support after 4:00 pm. Ride Schedule 40 & 72 Mile Routes: Begin at 7:30 am. 25 Mile Trail Ride: Starts at 7:45 am. 15 Mile Trail Ride: Starts at 8:00 am. Pacing: This is a fun ride: feel free to ride at your own pace. Helmets are required on all routes! Route Information We will again offer 36 and 60 mile Gravel Routes that will travel on beautiful gravel and dirt roads. Trail Head Locations: SAG stops at trailheads, at miles 12, 18, 31, 41, and 51. Chief Standing Bear Trail: Scenic route, lightly supported with snacks and water.
