John Brown Time Trial Series Growin the Sport while Racin 4 Peanuts –Thursday’s 6/11, 7/23, 8/20, & 9/10 INFO Event: The John Brown Time Trial Series – Where growin the sport and racin 4 peanuts collide. Categories: The John Brown Time Trial Emporium has something for everyone. Experience: Getting on your bike, going fast and making friends is what grows the sport. Participants: The best athletes in the Midwest will grace this race with their best carbon aero tuck and retro fixie with wool jersey. COURSE Length: The fastest and flattest 5-mile course in Kansas! Route: This predominately West to East course follows the Kansas river bottoms road Northwest of DeSoto. Goal: See if you can join the “9-minute club!” for men or “10-minute club!” for women. REGISTRATION Time: Registration is after 5:45pm and race starts after 6:30pm. Cost: Race entry is $25 and you get to race two 5-mile TT’s. Considerations: During the longer summer months, a 3rd race may be possible if you are a sicko! Facilities: There are no bathrooms so take care of biz on the way in. NOTES Intervals: Race intervals will be 30 to 60 seconds and will be determined by number of racers signed up. Second Race: After the first wave goes we’ll take a 5 to 10-minute break for gear and bike changes. Participation: You don’t have to race twice, but there is no charge. Additional Races: During the height of the summer we may allow a limited number of riders to race three 5 mile TT’s.
