MORE Summer Ride and Picnic at Patuxent Event Overview Date: August 8, 2026 Location: 26430 Mullinix Mill Rd, Mt Airy, MD Website: Event Link Description: MORE volunteers have been working hard to build trails and expand ride opportunities in Patuxent River State Park. We're excited to show off their work at the Patuxent Ride & Picnic on August 8! Participation Details Cost: This event is free for MORE members, volunteers, donors, and prospective members. Headcount: Please sign up to help us with a headcount. Food: MORE will provide burgers (veggie option available) and non-alcoholic beverages. Contributions: Please bring a side dish or dessert to share and serving utensils. Environmental Commitment Reusable Items: Please bring your own reusable cups, plates, and utensils (we won't have disposables available). Waste Reduction: Help us minimize the waste we create at our events. Starting Point Meeting Location: We'll be meeting at the Izaak Walton League. Rides: Starting and ending our rides there. Address: 26430 Mullinix Mill Rd, Mount Airy, MD 21771 Sign-Up Reminders Group Rides: If you plan on joining any of the group rides, please sign up for those and there is no need to sign up under the Picnic category. Volunteers Needed: We could always use volunteers to help with setup and cleanup. Volunteer Sign-Up: If you are able to help out, please sign up under the Volunteer category in addition to your Group Ride.
