Race Overview We're excited to introduce the new Texas Headlight Hustle hosted by the Harwood Community Center in Harwood, TX. This event will use parts of the fan-favorite ‘Lit Whizzy’ daytime gravel event. Route Options Distance Choices: Riders have your choice of 20, 38, or 46 miles of mostly gravel routes with a few quiet paved roads mixed in. Bicycle Requirements: Any bike with at least 1.25+" wide tires like a hybrid, MTB, or cyclocross/gravel bike is perfect. Timing: Choose the right distance for your abilities to be back to the finish line party within 4hrs to enjoy drinks and company with everyone. Accommodations: Numerous accommodations are available just 15 minutes away in Gonzales, TX. Event Details The event starts about 1 hour before sunset, and gives riders almost 1.5hrs of riding before dark. Lighting Requirements: All riders must have a front headlight, and a rear blinking tail light. Front Headlight Setting: For best results, set the front headlight of about 800-900 lumens to medium or low setting for at least 2 hours use. Finish Line Celebration When you return to Harwood, we'll have music, cold drinks and snacks waiting for you at the finish line party!
